We are delighted to announce that we will begin delivering a two year Early Intervention project for families in the Somer Valley area called Explorers and Adventures starting in November 2019 thanks to recent grants.
Working in partnership with Radstock’s Bright Start Children’s Centre, Evolve Music’s weekly early years sessions will enable families with children aged 0-5 years to interact with music and support their child’s development and learning.
Jed Parsons from the Radstock Children Centre said “Bright Start Children’s Centres are extremely excited to be working with and supporting Evolve Music on this innovative two year project. We know that not all children are reaching their full potential, and that gaps in children’s development open up early. These gaps matter for children’s outcomes such as educational attainment, physical and mental health and we hope that through this project we will support families and provide the best start in life.”
Chair of the Board and Founder - Ben Vleminckx said “To be able to deliver this programme for the next two years in our local Children’s Centre and support families in Radstock is why Beth and I set up the charity back in 2017. Evolve Music is committed to developing programmes of work that use music to benefit the community of Radstock and the wider Somer Valley area.”
This programme of work has been generously supported by the Ragdoll Foundation, St John’s Foundation, the Quartet Community Foundation and Radstock Town Council.
“We are so grateful to these trusts and foundations and our local town council for funding this work. It’s a real milestone for us as an organisation and we hope that this is just the beginning and our work will continue to grow, reaching out to more people across the Somer Valley area.” Ben Vleminckx - Founder and Chair of the Board.
Sessions will launch on Friday 1st November at Radstock Children’s Centre. For more information please contact Mark Scott via [email protected] or call 07943973473.
