Stay and play 'explorers'

Music for Under 5's

Music is fundamental in child development as it incorporates all areas of learning and growth. Our trained EYFS teacher plans each Explorers session to nurture and develop the prime and specific areas of development within the Early Years Framework. Each session explores music through songs, rhymes, games and movement which helps to develop speech and language, memory and recall, physical development, coordination, social skills, literacy and numeracy skills and builds confidence and self esteem. Most importantly, Evolve Music workshops encourage children to explore and express themselves creatively.

Our weekly 'Stay and Play' Explorer workshops are designed for parents, grandparents, child minders and nanny’s to take part in music making alongside their child.  The sessions is structured as follows; The first 15 minutes offer a chance for parents and carers to chat over a cup of tea whilst the littles ones have a snack and explore the instruments and props as part of free flow play. After that, we join together for a session of focussed songs, stories, movement and exploring instruments.
